Nintendo DS review – The Ultimate Portable Gaming Console
The Japanese name for the Nintedo DS Lite is DS Lite Nintendō Dī Esu Raito. It is a hand-held portable game console that has a dual screen. It is manufactured and developed by the same company that brought the Game boys during the 1990s – Nintendo.
The pink DS Lite is just among the other colors that the consumers can choose from.The Nintendo Ds Lite consoles are made slimmer, more lightweight and brighter as compared to the former Nintendo DS. DS Lite consoles are designed aesthetically sleeker while taking some of the styling cues of the Game Boy Advance SP. The pink DS Lite and other available colors of the gaming console appeals to a wider range of commercial audiences.
Its makers announced the Nintendo DS Lite more than a month before it was first launched in Japan on March 2, 2006. There was still an overwhelming demand for the original Nintendo DS console model at that time that is why the official release day was delayed. The gaming console was also officially released in Europe, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand and defined areas in the Middle East, South America and in East Asia. According to an official statement of Nintendo, the sales of the DS Lite consoles have reached to about 75.74 million units around the globe as of December 31, 2008.
The pink DS Lite and all the other colors of the gaming console are all capable of receiving Wi-Fi- signals from other Nintendo gaming systems and as well as from Wi-Fi- access points.
